World Password Day

Today is World Password Day, if you have not heard.
Handling cyber claims, as we do here at LMI, we know first hand that the best company procedures are worth naught, if the people risk is not addressed.
One of the weakest areas is passwords, and one of the biggest risk is having only one that you use across all your work and personal stuff.

I have nearly a hundred different passwords and pins to try and remember and could not hope to do this without a password manager. I use LastPass and find it an invaluable tool to generate very strong passwords and then allowing me to manage and remember them. I started with the free version but quickly moved to the premium one.
One important risk management tool is to allow someone you trust to have access to them, in case you are injured or die. Not that I have any cryptocurrency, but there have been horror stories when someone has died or forgotten their password and they have had millions of dollars worth that now is lost to all. There is a secure way to do this with LastPass.
I am not sponsored by them and only mention it as I value the service. I am sure there are other good ones out there.
With so many people working from home more than ever, World Password Day is an important reminder to check the management of all your passwords.
