Two flyers to assist explaining the risk in cancelling casualty insurance

It continues to cause me great worry that so many business owners are cancelling insurance.
I am not alone in this and, broker and long standing friend, Robert Cooper of CPR Insurance brokers, shared with me the words of warning that he has been sending to his clients.
Robert, has kindly allowed me to have the team from LMI Media to add some graphics and change a few words around.
I share the end result with you, in Word format so that you can add your own logo if you wish, and or your contact details at the end.
I have put our logo on the document as well, as independent claims experts who see what happens when this advice is not taken.
It is recommended that when you send these out, you retain a copy on the client’s file to support you in any claim that the client may bring upon you, if they fail to take your advice and suffer a loss.
Special thanks to Robert for sharing, and to all those in the market who are doing things for the common good of the public, the insurance industry and broking profession.
This is very practical and helpful thank you.
This is awesome advice. I had a client email yesterday to cancel their PI policy and I provided the email back with details of the Claims Made and indicated it is their best interest to keep the policy going for full protection to their business. I spoke to the client as well and they were only thinking of saving money because their business had closed and they were panicking so after my email and my discussions they were clearer of how the policy would protect them and they agreed then not to cancel the policy. So thank you Regards Tracey Miller
Thank you for reading, Karl.
A great result and exactly what the paper was designed to do.
Hi Allan,
Finding your articles and papers really valuable, thank you. The public and products liability paper has been written in a way it can be forwarded on to clients, however the PI paper has been written to Insurance Brokers it seems as it refers to “your clients” and “your Insured” . The advice is GREAT, but I just wondered if it will be re-written in a way we can send to a third party?
I did note your comment around “It is recommended that when you send these out, you retain a copy on the clients file to support you in any claim that the client may bring upon you…” It would be great to get a copy with slightly different language so we can send the PI paper out.
The Business Interruption paper and the Travel Insurance paper addressing COVID-19 and cover where a huge success from our perspective. Thank you for taking the time to put these together.
Kind Regards,
Jacqui
Let me have another go.
Regards
Allan
Please note I have updated the Professional Indemnity one today (16 April) to make it more suited to give to an Insured.
Awesome stuff Allan and a credit to you too Robert Cooper, well done.
