Please make your thoughts count on claims

It has been an interesting time in insurance, and claims in particular, over the past twelve months. We all know the challenges we have faced with bush fires, hailstorms, flooding, storms and of course the ongoing issues around COVID-19.
With record complaints being lodged with Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), I have seen the issues vividly in my own street with half the homeowners in dispute with their insurer, following the January hail storm. Two neighbours have given up as it is all too hard for them, and just funding the repairs they require themselves rather than deal with their insurer. It is just too frustrating.

So now, more than perhaps ever before, it is more important to let the insuring public know who to insure with to get good claims service and, equally important, who to avoid like the plague.
For all the bad stories, there are some very good professional, empathetic claims teams and they need to be recognized for the good they do for their company and brand insurance.
So please take a few moments, as you work from home, to complete the claims survey which will serve many purposes. It will update the ratings on the free-to-the-public service ClaimsComparison.com, and it will determine the finalists and ultimate winners of the prestigious Mansfield Awards for Claims Excellence.

I ask little of my readership but, if you value the effort put into this insurance blog and the developments that LMI have brought to insurance in Australia with PolicyComparison, RiskCoach, BICalculator, etc., please help us help you and complete the survey. You know by helping drive positive change, you are in fact helping yourself!
The current survey period ends close of business Monday 8th June.
Thanks in anticipation. I really appreciate it.
