Please Help me Save the Knowledge – Thanks Midway

First of all, a heartfelt thanks to the members of the Melbourne based Midway Club, made of members of the insurance industry who kindly donated a number of books to my insurance library. Over the years I have been blessed by companies and individuals giving me their books on insurance; text books, histories of insurers etc, which I catalogue and preserve for use by anyone in the insurance industry at no cost to them.

The same goes with old policy wordings. We have a wonderful library of wordings, regrettably not all dating back to the 1880’s and it would surprise you just how often a broker, insured or even an insurer is looking for an old wording. We at LMI also use them as points when we draft new wordings and or consider interpretation issues. Again, I would seek readers help in loaning or simply passing over any wordings you have. I scan them and they are then available by the market on an needs basis via the LMI PolicyComparison.com website.

Like the Midway Club’s donation, this preserves our heritage and our and future generations have access to the lessons from the past. Thanks Midway Club, I value the donation.
