NSW Premier flags the removal of Emergency Service Levy in New South Wales

This morning i was interviewed by ABC radio in Illawarra on my views about the removal of the Emergency Service Levy in New South Wales. I think readers would know I’ve been a long standing advocate for the removal of Emergency Service Levies & Fire Service Levies on general insurance as it places an unfair burden to fund the fire and emergency services that the entire community benefits from.

If you’re in Illawarra region, please tune in tomorrow for the full interview.

As those in New South Wales would remember, in 2019 we were only 6 weeks away from the end of the Emergency Service Levy when the government changed their mind, hopefully this time with adequate explanation this necessary change will finally come to pass, meaning that Emergency Service Levies & Fire Service Levies on insurance will finally have been removed by all states and territories in Australia, a milestone that’s well overdue, due to the ever increasing cost of general insurance.
