LMI ClaimsComparison off to a flying start

The interest in LMI’s latest research service, LMI ClaimsComparison has been greater in its first week than any of the other products brought to market. This is great and vidicates the work that has gone into the service.

I would like to thank all those who have written and rung to say “thank you” and say how you value this particular product and/or the ongoing committment of LMI to providing such research tools.

It is also pleasing that several insurers are already promoting their company’s star rating with brokers and their customers.

I appreciate this as the more we spread the information the more valuable it is to the insuring community while it will assist us have more buy in as we add other insurance classes over time.

Originally we went with  a .com.au domain for two reasons. One a domain squatter was sitting on claimscomparison.com and secondly we thought that we would only operate the service in Australia. We have been able to negotiate a reasonable price, now that we launched under .com.au, to purchase the .com domain. It appears that a small sale was better than no sale. With the second reason we have already had requests to take the service to other countries. While we will not be rushing into this, as there is so much work it is now included in our strategic plan.

As such we will be moving the site to www.ClaimsComparison.com as soon as we take ownership of it. The existing site of www.claimscomparison.com.au will be redirected to its new home and users should not notice any change in service.

Why I am keen to make this switch is that LMI ClaimsComparison.com is a companion service to LMI PolicyComparison.com and to have a different suffix is leading to confusion for some.
