I downloaded the COVIDSafe app
For any economy to safely open, get businesses open again, get under-utilised workers back to work and earning, it is clear that the authorities need to be able to nip any outbreak of COVID-19 in the bud.
It would be heartbreaking for many of us to get so close to eradicating the disease in Australia through our collective efforts, and then see us all have to go back to lockdown.
It is disappointing that some politicians are not setting the right example.
I may be naive, but there is no where I go that I would be afraid or ashamed for government, my family and my readers to know.
This may be controversial, but it does make me wonder what they are doing that they want to hide. Whatever it is, is it more important to you than the good of the economy, a duty you are entrusted by the electorate to protect?
In any event, if I do come in contact with someone who is infected I want to know, so that I do not infect my family, friends, work colleagues and anyone else for that matter.
To me, it is a no-brainer.

I agree Allan. I downloaded it straight away, but there are concerns around the Bluetooth capabilities and the fact you give it permission to automatically pair with other phones. Do you have any comment on this? Or any Cyber Insurers out there that can comment on this?

I agree. I have also installed it. It worked on my Android but I could not install it on my wife’s iPhone.

I ageee with Alan – high profile politicians are showing how uninformed and stupid they are by not downlosding the Civid-safe App – when they are using mobile phones that can provide all the personal tracking data they complain that the App provides!

Let’s all get behind our leaders who, so far, have made the right decisions.
Now they need to lead us out of lock/down. And get the economy going again
