Health: of the people, for the people, by the people

I am sure that Abraham Lincoln would not mind my adapting of his words from the famous Gettysburg address, for these troubled times.
So proud of Aussies for getting behind the COVIDSafe app, that will allow government to make meaningful decisions to get our economy up and running again, allow us more freedom of movement and a faster return to the lifestyle we cherish. A special thanks to those in our blog community who contacted me sharing their agreement and encouragement on this issue. It is appreciated.
While from time to time I do express my incredulity at some of the things that our politicians do, the way the States and Federal Governments are working together through the National Cabinet, for our common good regardless of political persuasion, is great to see. I just hope the wrangling about opening up schools does not derail all the good work.
In contrast, while I do not profess to understand US politics, I look with disbelief the way COVID-19 is being politicized beggars belief. A joke I saw recently sums it up: “What borders on stupidity? Canada and Mexico.”
Stay safe and well.
