Great to see the government is cracking down on dodgy claims operators

I read with interest in InsuranceNEWS.com.au that the government is cracking down on dodgy claims operators, with the article singling out credit hire and accident management companies.

I have posted about their practices in the past for years now and have helped quite a few people who have been targeted by such firms including one of our staff here at LMI Group.

Hopefully this is the start and that they also go after the dodgy panel beaters, and storm chasing builders that are causing a heap of grief to vulnerable folk often when they need genuine help after a car accident or property loss caused by a natural catastrophe event.

I join the Insurance Council of Australia in applauding the government for the proposed Competition and Consumer Amendment (Unfair Trading Practices) Bill
