Conference Reminder: Risk and the Business Insurance in History
With this year rushing to an end so quickly, I thought that I would remind everyone of the great conference being held next year in Seville, Spain from the 11th to the 14th June, 2019 on the History of Insurance as a Business. The conference has been many years in the making and experts from around the world will be presenting on the topic.
The primary organisers are Professors Jerònia Pons Pons and Robin Pearson. For those that attended the conference in Bengkulu, you will recall that Professor Pearson delivered one of the key note addresses and is the author of many books on insurance including Insuring the Industrial Revolution.
The Scientific Committee supporting the organisers is made up of an additional 6 experts in general insurance and I am pleased to be representing Australia and New Zealand on this committee.
The list of speakers and the topics can be found at http://www.riskandtheinsurancebusiness.com/
While the conference will be looking at the history of our important industry, I have been entrusted in delivering the closing key note address and I will be looking at the future trends in insurance and the issues confronting the industry moving forward.
I personally am looking forward to the conference as the learnings will be great in one of the most beautiful venues in Europe.
Details of registration and the modest cost can also be found at ww.riskandtheinsurancebusiness.com/ but if you would like more information please feel free to contact me.
I hope to be seeing many of you at the conference.
