Some good news for a change to show that insurance is not all bad.

My son Steve, who knew the father of the Insured and a senior colleague with us at LMI Group, who heard about the matter and agreed to help, took up the claim and spoke to different senior management at the insurer involved. Both agreed that under the circumstances the cancellation was harsh and the cancellation has been overturned. The Insured and her father are both, naturally overjoyed and very much relieved. This demonstrates the importance of having your insurance with a quality insurer. Well done to all involved.

There is good news here as well. Insurer X has agreed to meet the claim as per my calculation.  Again, a quality insurer who, once the correct approach was explained fully, agreed to overturn their original decision.

The reality is that we are all human and all of us make mistakes. The important point is to be prepared to listen to the other sides view and be prepared to reconsider your position if what they say makes sense. It is where people dig their heels in and are not prepared to listen or learn that causes so much grief and breaks down the all important trust upon which insurance is rightly based.
