I cannot recall having so many requests for information or urgent jobs before Christmas before and hence, I have been working every waking moment and have not had time to post articles to my beloved blog.
I have heaps to write about and hopefully over the next few weeks I will get it all down on paper and I will time them to come up regularly from mid January.
In the meantime, I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday period and hope that 2014 is kind to you.
Thanks for your support and your questions during 2013. I look forward to bashing out some interesting material next year on the blog. Take care till then.
In the meantime, should you have a claims issue, I and the LMI team are working through and can be contacted via email email@example.com or on our 24 hour emergency phone 0423 564 252 Australia or 021 535 148 New Zealand.
I was quizzed by Dallas Brookes of the television show, Dollars with Sense on some of the insurance issues that should be considered during the holiday period.
I hope it is a timely reminder for you and your clients. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlL_n5dvYvw
Regular contributor Adam Matteson of Arch Underwriting at Lloyd’s shares his view on whether reinstatement and replacement is the appropriate basis of settlement in all cases.
The catalyst of the presentation is the recent fire in Brisbane in an old home adjacent to the Greek Club and the fact that with zoning changes in many cities the industry increasingly are seeing risks where the Insured does not have an intention to reinstate following a loss.
The attached presentation tries to provide some framework, and options, to assist brokers and underwriters. If you are asked for a time for each slide, please turn it off and hit next when you have had a chance to read or listen to the slide/video.
Thanks Adam for sharing.
